LADIES in the Midhurst area planning to use the leap year to pop the question will get the chance to do it by posting a love note in the window of the Midhurst British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop window in North Street.
BHF is once again launching its annual ‘love notes’ fundraising campaign which gives couples the chance to post a romantic note in the window for Valentine’ Day on February 14.
But this year the annual campaign gives ladies the chance to pop the question on February 29 and the added chance of making their leap year proposal with the help of central London’s Piccadilly lights.
The charity launched its annual ‘Love Notes’ fundraising scheme on Monday giving people the chance to buy hearts, write their message and display it in the Midhurst BHF window from now until February 14 for a suggested donation of £1.
This year, Land Securities, the UK’s largest commercial property company and a major supporter of BHF, is offering one lucky lady who writes a ‘Love Note’ the opportunity to propose via one of the world’s most iconic sights – London’s Piccadilly Lights on Wednesday, February 29.
All they need to do is submit 200 words to the shop explaining why their partner is the love of their life and a picture of the pair together.
