Heavy snowfall hits the Observer area

The predicted cold weather snap resulted in snow falling from early morning on Friday, January 18.

Traffic was slow moving on the A27 with many motorists being cautious in the adverse conditions.

A lane is closed at Emsworth due to a multi-vehicle accident, and motorists were warned to be careful.

Traffic in and out of Bognor Regis through Felpham is slow, with queues of people trying to get into the town back to the Flansham roundabout.

Our reporters noted no problems on the A259 towards Littlehampton but traffic is moving slower than usual. Roads in Bognor Regis are also very slippery.
