Henfield driver banned from roads for two years

A driver from Henfield has been banned from the roads for two years after being caught almost three times over the drink-drive limit.

Mark Cranford, of Wantley Hill Estate, was arrested at around 10.30pm on Friday June 26 after officers stopped his Lexus IS200 in Southgate Avenue, Crawley.

The 31-year-old was found to have 92 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of his breath, the legal limit is 35.

Cranford pleaded guilty to drink-driving when he appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on July 13.

As well as being banned from driving he was also ordered to carry out 100 hours of community service and told to pay £235 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
