Holiday park signs stolen

A HOLIDAY park owner who had his signs stolen before the busiest weekend of the year has appealed for their safe return.

Gene Robinson who owns Bluebell Holiday Park, Shortgate, near Ringmer, woke on Friday morning to find the sign alerting visitors to his park had been removed.

He said: 'My entrance is quite well hidden and this sign lets people know where I am.

'The timing was absolutely perfect, people certainly had trouble finding me and I don't know who missed me.

'I am appealing for them back - they are no use to anyone else.

'The odd thing is they have been carefully unscrewed, they have not been ripped off.

'They have definitely been taken, I have searched the area.'

Police confirmed the signs had been taken and appealed for anyone who may know there whereabouts to call Sussex Police on 0845 6070999.
