Hurt seagull rescued

Firefighters used ladders to rescue a seagull with a broken wing on the roof of a house in Middleton.

They handed over the injured bird to an RSPCA inspector who was present during the 45-minute operation in Elmer Road yesterday (Tuesday, August 4).
