Italian cuisine comes to Midhurst

VISITORS to Midhurst will experience an Italian piazza on Saturday, September 6 from 10am, when an authentic Italian market sets up stall in Market Square.

Italian traders will be selling a wide range of freshly-sourced produce, from mouth-watering traditional cheeses of the north to sauces and pasta from the south of the country. An accordion player will be providing the perfect soundtrack for shoppers as they browse the stalls.

Councillor Myles Cullen, cabinet member for commercial services at Chichester District Council, said: “Following the success of the medieval event and the French market, it’s wonderful to welcome this traditional Italian market to our refurbished historic Market Square.”

Among the produce available will be Italian breads, Lombardy cheeses, pasta and sauces, biscuits, cakes and pastries, salami and meats, and olives, olive oil and sundried tomatoes.
