Fund raisers will be pulling on their boots again on Saturday, October 1 to take part in Jack’s Sponsored Walk in aid of the Petworth Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Once again, the walk is being organised by John Rosser, who has been involved since it was initiated by Jack Holloway – a Burma Star veteran – in 1998, to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal. The walk has continued since Jack’s death in 2011. Walkers will meet at 9.30am at The Noah’s Ark Inn at Lurgashall for a 10am start. All ages and dogs are welcome.
The walk has raised more than £35,000 for the Poppy Appeal in the last 17 years and last year alone more than £3,300 was collected which organisers are hoping to match this year.
Sponsorship forms are available and donations can also be made through the walk’s Just Giving page
