Jewellery stolen

The elderly resident at The Vinery in Nutley was terrified when she looked out of her window and saw a man gazing through.

She later found some silverware and her purse had been stolen.

The man was described as being bald, with a beard, about 6ft tall, in his 50s with yellowish skin and possibly wearing a grey coat.

Police searched the area but no-one was found.

PCSO Susie Bunch said: 'This is a particularly nasty burglary where the offender has preyed on a very vulnerable elderly person.'
