Lawnmowers stolen from across Midhurst and Petworth

SEVERAL lawnmowers worth thousands of pounds have been stolen around the area.

The Midhurst and Petworth Neighbourhood Policing Team reported a number of thefts across Midhurst, Plaistow and Rogate, where thieves took off with ride-on mowers, trailers and other tools.

On Wednesday night (April 22), in Holmbush Way, Midhurst, CCTV footage has shown two people breaking down a perimeter fence before entering a yard and forcing open a storage container.

Two John Deere ride-on mowers were stolen, along with two industrial pressure washers.

In Plaistow, between 5.30pm on Tuesday (April 22), and 7.30am on Wednesday (April 23), police said entry was gained to the grounds of a property under renovation by cutting through the gate lock.

A double garage door was forced open and two John Deere ride-on mowers and trailers were stolen.

In North Street, Rogate, overnight on Tuesday (April 21), thieves gained entry to a garage and stole a lawnmower.
