Local firm keeps community stalwart John online
Rye based computer repair company Syncports came to the rescue of silver surfer John Izod after his computer gave up the ghost.
The company provided John with a newly refurbished Dell PC and monitor as an act of goodwill.
Ollie Campion, from Syncports, said: “John Izod has spent countless hours over the years helping the town of Rye as a Rye Town Councillor, Chairman of the Rye Bonfire Society and Chairman of the Rye and District Community Transport to name just a few.
“He’s always on hand to help out, even drawing an illustration for an event in need when required.
“So, when he called us to say his computer was poorly, we decided to give a little back.”
