Look what has bobbed up at the Cowdray Ruins

A unique interactive contemporary art installation has arrived at the Cowdray Ruins in the form of '˜the Bobs'.

The sculptures, which are shaped in the human form, are made from strips of ripped, woven and knotted fabric.

They are the brainchild of artist, Traci Moss, who has been overseeing the placement of the ‘Bobs’ around the site.

Visitors to Cowdray Ruins receive a booklet in which they place the appropriate Bob sticker when they spot them.

If they find all five ‘Bobs’(Cool Bob, Chatty Bob, Pretty Bob, Aloof Bob and Cheeky Bob) they receive a sticker to take home - ‘I found all the ‘Bobs at Cowdray’.

Traci Moss said: “This installation is designed to remind us that there is much to smile about in life if you just remember to look for it. If the ‘Bobs’ cause just one person to smile or laugh or pause for thought, then they have done their job!”

Cowdray Heritage’s operations manager, Sally Guile added: “I’m delighted with the Bobs, they look great around the Ruins and I’m sure they will provide much fun for our visitors over the coming weeks.”
