AWARD-winning choreographer and former Strictly Come Dancing judge, Arlene Phillips popped in for afternoon tea at McCarthy and Stone’s Turner House retirement homes in Midhurst.
Arlene, 72, recently became their ambassador to launch a study of more than 2,500 retirees aiming to breakdown stereotypes of the older generation highlighting the varied lifestyles of older people.
She has been visiting McCarthy and Stone homes up across the country hosting tea dances and even dancing lessons: “I know retirees are redefining what it means to grow old. We are independent, active individuals who are seeking new experiences no matter what our age,” she said.
