Head teacher Tim McMath said: “I am delighted that the school has received the much sought after Sainsbury’s School Games gold award.

“This is an excellent reflection of the commitment to sport and competition provided by the school.

“The quality of teaching within each class and the after school club provision is thoroughly appreciated by everyone associated to the school.”

The school previously held the silver award, rewarding its commitment to PE, sports clubs and competitions.
