MADHURST procession organisers are appealing for people to join in the fun and get busy making floats for the finale of the 2015 music, arts and drama festival.

The Rev David Coote, who masterminds the procession, said the theme this year was ‘A Walk on the Wild Side’ and there would also be a new competition for the
best-decorated umbrella.

There will be a new look to the procession which starts at midday in the Market Square.

As it processes through Knockhundred Row and North Street on its way to the Midhurst Sports Association arena, there will be two four-minute pauses.

The idea is to slow down the parade for the crowds and to give those on the floats a chance to strut their stuff.

“If you are willing to take part, please let me know as soon as possible,” said David. Contact him on 01730 816766, mobile 07979221394 or email david@cooteonline.com for a booking form.
