Magna Tandoori named top after competition vote

The winner of the Observer Curry House of the Year competition has been announced.

Taking home first prize this year is Magna Tandoori, of Argyle Road in Bognor Regis.

The curry house was named as the winner following a public vote, in which voters were asked to take into consideration what it was that gave their chosen nominee the edge and what lifted it above its rivals.

In the end, Magna Tandoori was named the overall winner.

The Curry House of the Year competition runners up for this year are India Gate, of St Pancras in Chichester, which has placed second, and The Old Cottage of West Street, Chichester, which has placed third.
