Male regulars pose for saucy charity calendar

RYE pub The Pipemakers is set to raise more than £2,000 for Children in Need on Friday when it held a packed fund-raising night.

The pub held a Motown and soul disco and a male auction where regulars offered their services for various jobs.

There was also a raffle with prizes which included meals, generously donated by the George and Hope Anchor.

Lads from the pub have also posed for a saucy calendar, with the help of the Cheeky Girls, who are regulars,

Proceeds from the calendar will be divided between Children in Need and testicular cancer awareness.

Karim Dharamshy, from the pub, said: “It was a fantastic night. We have raised more than £1,800 and money is still coming in.

“I would like to thank Ruth and Jeremy Sperring, and others on the organising committee, and everyone who came along and supported us on the night.”

The calendar is on sale from the pub and also from Fletcher House and New to You Retro, in Cinque Ports Street.
