Man arrested as police investigate Hove '˜arson'
Police have confirmed a 54-year-old local man has been arrested following last night's fire in Palmeira Avenue, Hove.
A spokeman said the incident, which started around 9pm and severely damaged a children’s nursery, is being treated as suspected arson.
“We assisted the fire service by closing roads and evacuating properties impacted by smoke, the bus service opened its canteen for the displaced people,” they added.
“We don’t have any more details regarding the arrest at the moment.”
