Man rebailed over Goodwood robbery

The man arrested on suspicion of stealing £700,000 of precious jewellery from the Goodwood Estate has been rebailed.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “A man, 27, from Hampshire, arrested on suspicion of robbery has been further bailed to March 23 while enquiries continue.”

Lord and Lady March were assaulted and left tied in the raid on January 13.

Among more than 40 items taken included an 1820 diamond tiara worth close to £400,000 and several luxury watches

Police said there was no news on the items taken.
