Mermaids and mermen to clean up Brighton beach
Mermaids, mermen and sea urchins (children) will pick up rubbish on the beach between the Brighton Palace Pier and West Pier.
March of the Mermaids, the non-profit organisation hosting the event, has also collaborated with Lush Cosmetics to offer participants a free bubble-bar-making workshop after the beach clean.

The money raised will support three charities: Surfers Against Sewage, Marine Conservation Society and Sea Shepherd UK.
Mr Travers said: “Our main message as a store is to encourage people to go packaging free and in terms of March of the Mermaids it is a great opportunity to create a better Brighton.”
The beach clean and workshop follows the March of the Mermaids’ Fin-Raiser Party on Saturday, at the Fortune of War which begins at midday.
