Middleton crossing talks

Progress is being made towards providing a pedestrian crossing in Middleton.

A meeting between the parish and county councils has shown that it is feasible to install the zebra crossing by the One Stop shop in Elmer Road.

There is a year in which the crossing could be put in but the key issue is finding the estimated 25,000-30,000 needed to pay for the safety measure.

County councillor Christina Freeman told parish councillors she was committed to finding the money within the county council and would push for it to be made available.
