Midhurst and Petworth parish round-up

A JUMBLE and nearly-new sale is being held at Sutton Village Hall on Saturday, April 28.

The sale will raise funds for the hall and for the annual Christmas party for children from Barlavinton, Bignor, Burton with Coates and Sutton.

Villagers will be donating items for the sale and organisers are hoping for a good turn out of those wanting to browse, buy and enjoy a cup of team and a slice of home made cake.

The sale will be open 10am- 2pm.


THERE are two important dates coming up for villagers’ diaries in Harting.

On Thursday, April 19, at 7pm, Harting’s parish meeting and annual assembly will be held in Harting Community Hall, South Harting, and on Thursday, May 17, at 7.30pm, the annual meeting of Harting Parish Council will be held in the Henry Warren Hall at Nyewood.


Calling all craftsmen working with willow and hazel.

Organisers of the Floral Fringe Fair to be held at Bignor Park on May 19 and 20, are looking for willow and hazel artisans to take a stall at the fair.

And Pulborough Brooks is offering a ‘wild time’ for visitors over Easter.

Families can take part in a wildlife challenge game as they explore the nature trail and see how much wildlife they can spot.

Back at the centre they can make their own animal mask.

Visitors over the Easter weekend from Friday, April 6, to Monday, April 9, will also be able to try the Easter Bunny Bingo Trail.

The reserve will be hosting a fun, interesting and informative trail. Families can drop in any time 10am-3pm to collect a trail sheet.

On completing the trail, visitors will be rewarded with a chocolate prize.

Entry costs £3 per child, or £1.50 per Wildlife Explorer Member and adults must accompany children (nature trail entry fee applies).

For anyone would like to get up close and personal with some of the creatures who live in the murky depths of the ponds, or try some hiding and seeking with the wildlife, Pulborough Brooks be running some special events too.
