THE LAST year has seen £20,000 raised for charity by members of the Midhurst and Petworth Rotary Club and outgoing president Paul Ryan thanked them all for their support and hard work.

July is the traditional time for the baton of the Rotary relay to be passed to a new president.

So at the last meeting of the Midhurst and Petworth Rotary Club, retiring president Paul passed the chain of office to incoming president Chris Wigley. Reflecting on his year in office, Paul said it had been a very successful year of service and fundraising by the club and money raised had been for local good causes and Rotary charities.

On behalf of members, new president Chris thanked Paul for what was achieved in his year. He outlined his priorities for the coming year and looked forward to the privilege of serving the club by continuing with Rotary ‘Service above Self’.
