MIDHURST brothers Liam and Rhys Bennett were first in line to meet Minnie and Mickey Mouse when children’s charity Barnardo’s and toy retailer Argos joined forces to help disadvantaged children this Christmas.

They were answering a call to donate their pre-loved toys to help vulnerable children at the launch of a special Christmas Toy Exchange campaign.

Barnardo’s and Argos are asking family in the Midhurst and Petworth area to donate their pre-loved toys.

Shoppers can donate the toys at any Argos shop in exchange for a £5 toy voucher, which can be spent in Argos stores towards the cost of new toys before Christmas Day.

To launch the campaign the Portsmouth Argos store held a special event inviting children to meet Minnie and Mickey Mouse and take part in the fun activities on offer. All donated toys will be sold in Barnardo’s shops.

Javed Khan, for Barnardo’s, said: “We support some of the most vulnerable young people in the UK. Over the last four years we have had the generous support of Argos’ customers and hopefully this year we will be able to help even more.”
