THE Midhurst Camera Club is gearing up for an exciting programme of events in the new year.
January 7 is the Len Clarke Memorial Trophy Competition, in memory of the club’s founding chairman.
There will be one panel of between three and six prints on a related theme, with no set subject. Prints may be individually or multi-mounted and the judge is Barry Day.
On January 21, the club will welcome guest speaker, Corporal Steve Blake, lecturing on Tunics and Bearskins – British Pomp and Ceremony.
Cpl Blake is no stranger to the camera club, having visited before with presentations on his work from the front line in Afghanistan.
Steve joined the army in 1998 as a communications specialist.
He trained recruits for years before travelling to the USA, France, Cyprus and Afghanistan as the combat camera team photographer, front-line news gathering for the press.
January 28 will be a practical evening on getting better macro images.
