A CELEBRATION of the life of Trina Duncan is to be held in Midhurst Parish Church on Saturday, March 21 at 2pm.
Trina died aged 66, on Friday, February 27 at St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester after an operation, with her husband David and her family at her side.
She was generous, kind, indefatigable and quite simply a wonderful person who really made a difference
There is to be a private funeral for family members only on Monday, March 16.
Her family has asked that those who attend the celebration of Trina’s life should not wear black or dark clothes.
Her death has shocked the town where Trina’s kind, friendly, generous and fun nature touched so many and tributes have continued to pour in to the Observer office
The Rev David Coote, representing the town council on the MADhurst committee, said: “I have witnessed at firsthand the impressive contribution Trina has made to Midhurst.
“The young people of Concordia who come to help MADhurst from all over Europe and beyond could not have wished for a more conscientious and caring person taking responsibility for them.”
Jeanette Sutton, Lesley Campbell and Sarah Murison from Midhurst Together added: “We worked with Trina Duncan on several community issues, and came to know and love her.
“We admired her deep enthusiasm for all things Midhurst. She could move mountains on behalf of a good cause.
“She was generous, kind, indefatigable and quite simply a wonderful person who really made a difference.”
