Midhurst man dead after Chichester A27 crash

The driver injured in a collision on the A27 at Chichester on Monday afternoon (December 2) has died in hospital.

The 63-year old Midhurst man, who has not yet been named, was driving a gold Toyota 4x4 east at the Oving crossroads junction at 2.13pm on Monday when it collided head-on with a black Peugeot saloon which was travelling westbound.

He was taken to St Richards Hospital, Chichester, having suffered a suspected heart attack and died at the hospital on Thursday afternoon (5 December).

Other occupants of the Toyota -two adults, and two children - suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Peugeot, a 63-year-old man from Littlehampton, was uninjured.
