The Empire Hall at Graffham has been awarded £1500 towards the £2,540 cost of replacing 20 chairs and curtains.

At Kirdford the village hall trustees have also been given £1500 towards a window replacement project.

And at Loxwood organisers of the annual fete have been given £800 towards the £1,108 needed to buy 12 tables.

Chairman of the committee Michael Brown said there was just short of £9,000 left to hand out in this financial year and he urged communities to get in their applications soon.
