MIDHURST Museum has celebrated a landmark number of visitors.
It said hello to visitor number 5,000 who arrived in the form of Joyce Marshall from Easebourne.
Mrs Marshall was congratulated by Peter Nightingale, chairman of the Midhurst Museum Association for becoming its landmark visitor.
She has visited the museum in Knockhundred Market regularly to check on the displays month by month.
Joyce was delighted with her gift, a copy of Midhurst in Living Memory.
Henry Friend was the 1,000th visitor in July last year.
The museum will be celebrating its second anniversary at the Midhurst Christmas Street Party on December 6.
The current display theme features photography and in December the theme will be Toys and Children’s Games.
The next year will see a host of events and exciting celebrations at the museum.
In August 2014 it will be commemorating the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War and in September there will be a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the railways in Midhurst.
The museum is open 10.30am-3pm Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 10.30am-1pm on Wednesdays.
