Midhurst Town Council says goodbye to Natasha

NATASHA Young who has been assistant to the town clerk at Midhurst for the past four years has left her post.

She helped with all the varied tasks undertaken by the town council but town clerk Joan Hursthouse said: “She will be best remembered for her editorship of Midhurst Matters, the town council’s newsletter, and for solving the logistic challenge of organising the table plan for the Jubilee Street Party in 2012 which was attended by over 500 residents.

“Natasha will be missed by everyone involved with the town council and we all wish her success in the future.”

Chairman of the town council John Etherington, who presented Natasha with a gift from councillors at a ceremony in the new offices at the former library, said: “Natasha was an extremely competent employee and well regarded by all the members of the council, she will be sorely missed.”

Natasha who is a long-standing member of the Midhurst Milers celebrated her 40th birthday last April by taking part in the London marathon.

She completed it in an impressive four hours 29 minutes and 49 seconds. It was the second London marathon for Natasha, a mother of two, who completed it a decade earlier less than one hour faster. She raised £1,500 for Cystic Fibrosis.
