VILLAGERS in the Milland area have been warned to be on the look out for suspicious activities after another spate of thefts.
There were three break-ins in Milland Lane, another in Pennels Close and the last reported from Carters Land Corner.
In the last few days a shed in Milland Lane was broken into and four red and cream coloured chainsaws were stolen. Another break-in took place in Milland Lane around the same time but this time nothing was stolen.
Also overnight thieves tried to steal from a private garage, but the owner has reported that the would-be thieves did not take anything.
At Pennels Close two padlocks were smashed securing garage doors and yet again the thieves left empty handed.
But they struck at Carters Land Corner breaking through a side gate and into a garage and stole an orange and white garden strimmer.
If anyone has any information they are asked to contact police officers on the non emergency 101 telephone number.
Milland villagers who have their own crime alert system were in action on Sunday morning raising the alarm, warning people to be vigilant and asking villagers to report to police anything suspicious they had seen or heard.
