THE Fernhurst Society is continuing to welcome fascinating guest speakers and John Owen Smith speaking about ‘Flora Thompson after Oxford’, didn’t fail to impress.
The next talk is ‘Granny on Ice’.
In 2009 Tess Burrows, a grandmother from Haslemere, took part in the recreation of the Scott/Amundsen race to the South Pole.
She is going to talk about her experiences and Scott’s expedition on Thursday, April 24 in Fernhurst village hall at 8pm. Doors open for coffee at 7.30pm and all are welcome.
