Motoring misery after two-car crash in Arundel

Lengthy traffic queues formed across the Arundel area earlier after a black Peugeot 307 and a blue Fiat Punto collided with one another on the A27 Arundel bypass, close to the Ford roundabout.

The smash was reported to police at 6.34am but it was after 7am before the damaged vehicles could be moved.

In the meantime traffic jams built up in the area, with eastbound lanes particularly badly affected.

Traffic also filtered out and affected the A259 through Littlehampton.

A spokeswoman from Sussex Police added that no one had been injured in the crash.
