Motorists may facedelays in Rye area

The Highways Agency has started work to repair foot-ways on the A259 between Winchelsea and Rye.

Work was due to start on Monday July 7 and is expected to take four weeks to complete.

A 40mph speed limit and temporary traffic lights will be in place overnight, between 8pm and 6am, between Royal Military Road, Rye, and Sea Road at Winchelsea.

Road users will be escorted past the work site in a convoy at 10mph.
