MP supports Carers Week

The Bexhill MP said he fully supports Carers Week, which highlights the vital contribution made by carers to their families and communities in providing unpaid care for someone who is ill, frail or disabled.

Greg said: “I know local carers do a wonderful job giving not only their time, but also their money and sometimes their health in order to care for a loved one.

“They are our unsung heroes and they deserve to be recognised for their contribution to our local communities and wider society.”

Sainsburys’ Bexhill held a number of events in conjunction with local charities during Carers Week.

Store manager Dave Hunt said: “Gregory’s visit provided us with a great opportunity to acknowledge the commitment of our colleagues who are also carers.

“They’re great role models for anyone in Bexhill who manages to combine a work career with caring for a loved one.”
