Multiple fire crews were called at 6.50pm to a chimney fire at a home in Main Road.

Two fire engines from Chichester, one from Bognor Regis and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service’s Technical Rescue Unit were sent to the scene, along with crews from Emsworth and Havant.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said: "Crews quickly extinguished the fire using one hose reel.

"They remained on scene and carried out a thorough inspection of the chimney, internally and externally using a thermal imaging camera and the service drone.

"They also inspected the wider roof space to ensure there was no further spread of fire.
