Community Champions: A community relies on so many people who give up their time for others. This is not only in the field of caring but just generally trying to improve the fabric of their village. They do this without the need for publicity or thanks. It may be cutting the grass on a regular basis for somebody living on their own, or giving up their time to teach youngsters how to play football or cricket. I am sure we all know somebody who falls into this category. Their contribution should be recognised and shared with the wider population, through the pages of the “Village Voice”. So if you have a nomination, please forward details to my email address [email protected] with some background information on your recommendation. We can set about acknowledging the vital work they do in future editions of the “Village Voice”.
