New lady Lion inducted

Vanessa, who lives in Camber, expressed an interest in becoming a Lion after Rye Lions made a donation to the Camber group of the Extend exercise club which provided gentle exercise to music for seniors. Vanessa co-ordinates the Camber class.

Conrad Freezer, from Rye Lions, said: “Rye and District Lions Club, as their name suggests, has members not only from Rye, but from many of the villages in the Rye area.

“Our area was recently extended to include Staplecross, Bodiam, Ewehurst Green and into Kent to Newenden, Sandhurst and Hawkhurst.

“We would be pleased to welcome any adult from these villages that would be interested in having fun whilst raising money for those less fortunate than themselves and enjoying socialising.”
