NO OPTION CAN BE PREFERRED SAYS COUNCIL

A UNIANIMOUS thumbs-down has been given by Mid Sussex District Council to all three options in West Sussex Primary Care Trust's Fit for the Future review.

Councillors across all parties unanimously agreed their response in a detailed paper that carefully considered the options put forward, provided evidence to support the council's rejection of the options put forward by the PCT and put forward the council's minimum requirements for the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath.

The council says that Fit for the Future is the latest healthcare reconfiguration that will continue to take services away from the Princess Royal Hospital.
