Older folk urged: don't suffer and shiver in silence

OLDER people in Littlehampton are being urged to seek help if they are struggling in the Arctic weather conditions.

Age Concern West Sussex, which runs the town's Tamarisk Centre, is ready and willing to help if people have concerns about their heating, or obtaining food or medicines.

The charity is also reminding older folk that the Tamarisk Centre is remaining open during the bitterly cold spell, from 9.30am to early afternoon, serving hot food and providing warm surroundings with activities to enjoy in good company.
