Open-air church service in Midhurst

THE whole community is invited to a special open-air service on Sunday, January 25 at 4pm at Midhurst Market Square.

The Rev Edward Doyle, rector of Rogate and chairman of Rother Valley Churches Together (RVCT), said: “All the churches in the area and Christian societies have been invited to come together.

“We will pray over the issues we face together, and our united voice of mission of the good news of the Gospel to our communities in this new year and for peace for our world.

“Father Peter Newsom has produced a unity prayer and we shall be bringing candles we have lit during the week of prayer for our final prayer together.

“All are welcome to join us.”

RVCT will also be hosting a series of five lent lectures, starting on Wednesday, February 25, every Wednesday until March 25 from 7.30pm-9pm at the Midhurst Methodist Church.

The entry fee is a donation on the door.

The theme of the 2015 lectures is ‘Christians in Culture – Does Christianity influence our Culture today for good or for bad?’
