Despite the inevitable vandalism to some of the creations, many of them remained intact and, undeterred by the recent unseasonal weather conditions, the festival appears to have once again been successful in drawing in visitors.

The creators of the scarecrows judged to be the best, and the most popular, will be rewarded for their efforts at the annual Battle In Bloom awards ceremony on Thursday evening at The Almonry.
