LETTER: Bognor beach not accessible

Why has Bognor beach been made into a no-go area for elderly, disabled and people with pushchairs?

I went to the beach with my daughter and her family on Sunday afternoon and really fancied a paddle in the sea.

After scaling down a ‘mountain of stones’ I got there and had a lovely paddle.

Right now to brace myself to scale the ‘mountain of stones’ back up to the prom. Phew, made it.

Later talking to my sister on the phone I told her about it.

She said to me I can’t get down to the water any more to have a paddle now. How sad.

I and my family have lived in Bognor all our lives. I can remember having slopes and steps down to the beach.

How are people expected to get down to the shore now?

Surely if we want holiday-makers (and residents) to come to Bognor beach accessibility must be sorted out now.
