LETTER: Cyclists make me angry

I have become increasingly angered by the very dangerous, irresponsible and antisocial cyclists in Chichester who, not content with the allocation of special cycle lanes on most roads, take to the pavements, cycling at high speed and weaving in and out of unsuspecting pedestrians.

To add insult to injury, these cyclists choose not to alert pedestrians that they are approaching by ringing their bells, if they have one.

Asking them to use their bells usually elicits verbal abuse.

It is only a matter of time before a pedestrian is seriously hurt.

When are the police going to prosecute cyclists who behave in this fashion with apparent impunity?
