LETTER: We had no say in these votes

In this week's paper the debate continues. Certain questions are posed. My main one is democracy?

Can anyone say the elections of Claude Junker, President of the EU commission, and Donald Tusk, President of the EU Council, were carried out by the will of the voters?

I for one do not recall having a say in voting for either.

I also recall a politician called Neil Kinnock, twice rejected by the British voters, being given a plum job as an EU commissioner.

That’s where our money goes, is it worth it?

The decision is yours, I know how I will vote.
