With Covid-19 blighting our lives I have taken to fairly regularly walking along the promenade.

This is a very beautiful mud-free walk and I am grateful to the Victorians for building it.

A lot of people seem to think the same as it is
busy most of the time, particularly when children are off school.

As time passes one can’t help but notice one or two things.

The toilets are vital at Holywell and make a deep impression on all of us, particularly visitors.

It is with sorrow that I have to say the men’s toilet is disgusting.

Take a leaf from the Arndale Centre: clean and modern.

Also, the pathetic efforts to keep the promenade tidy.

Money better spent looking after the toilets.

Do we need to be told killing germs and keeping things clean in this time of Covid-19 should a priority?

Visitors must be disappointed and less likely to return if, after a lovely walk along the promenade, they encounter and smelly, dirty, disgusting toilet.
