This will be on Monday June 23, meeting at 7pm and will last about two hours. The leader will be Su Reed, with other HNHS members in attendance to help those who may need it.

Although the main theme is intended to be insects, there will be plenty of other things to see including plants, birds and trees. Attendees don’t need to bring anything with them, but binoculars, field guides, magnifying glasses, camera and a notebook may be useful.

There is much more awareness of wildlife than there once was and this event will give the opportunity to study it in a little closer detail.

There is likely to be long grass and rough ground, so stout footwear is advised. All are welcome, whatever their knowledge of wildlife, but no dogs please. There is no charge to attend, but bookings should be made, preferably by email when joining instructions will be given, to Roger Patterson [email protected] or 01403 790 637/07976 306 492.

Horsham Natural History Society is a local registered charity that is for those who have a general interest in wildlife, although there are members with a specialised interest such as birds, plants or insects.

There is a summer programme of outings where members can see and study wildlife and a comprehensive weekly winter programme on a wide variety of topics.
