LETTER: Massive increase in risk of flooding

The threat of this is causing great worry and stress to the local community that lives here and we are all concerned that it will create a spiralling urban mass in a beautiful part of West Sussex and blight our homes forever. The town will create huge traffic problems as there is no railway line and will also cause a massive increase in the risk to floods.

It has no support from locals, councils, or our MPs and serves to only make the developers a fortune (one of whose number includes Lord Matthew Taylor who recently overhauled the Government’s new planning laws).

I don’t believe that the majority of the population of this corner of West Sussex want to have the future beauty of our county spoiled for our children when more practical ‘brownfield’ sites could easily be developed on.
