Record breaking day at Glebelands sports day

The students took part in various different activities including ultimate frisbee, tug of war, the outdoor arena and all the main athletic events.

Notable performances came from two students - Jade (Year 8) who smashed the 300m record by 6 seconds winning it with a time of 43 seconds, Sam (Year 9) who broke the 1500m record which had been held for 34 years in a winning time of 4 minutes and 38 seconds and Jonah who broke the Year 7 hurdles record.

Mr Robert Whistler, Head of Physical Education said: “The students were absolutely brilliant and the level of competition was extremely high. A fantastic day was had by all”.
