I AM in receipt of a West Sussex County Council booklet, entitled Small Change Big Difference, which contains ideas for making West Sussex "greener, cleaner and safer".

Littlehampton is blessed with few gradients and if we really want to encourage more local walkers and cyclists, we need to reduce the speed limit for motor vehicles from 30 miles per hour to 20 miles per hour, and to provide more pedestrian crossing points throughout the town.

Some larger towns are putting this idea into operation '“ is Littlehampton to be left behind yet again?
