Teenagers play with danger
I saw two teenagers, perhaps brother and sister, sitting on the roof of River Island in Montague Street, Worthing, with their legs dangling over the edge.
Admittedly I had done some things when I was a teenager but nothing quite as stupid as this.

Hide AdI just could not believe what I was seeing! I finished work at Marks and Spencer at 6pm on Sunday and was walking to my car when I discovered this most incredible sight.
I stopped to advice the two that what they were doing was stupid beyond words and that they should come down immediately before they fall.
They advised me that they were okay and that they would not fall off.
I spent 5 minutes with them before realising I was wasting my time.

Hide AdWalking back to my car I had been left with two options. Do nothing or call the police. I would not be able to live with myself if I had done nothing and they fell off, so I called 999 and informed the police who subsequently sent out a unit.
It became apparent that they had climbed over the Grafton Road car park railing onto the roof with ease. I think it best I inform Worthing Borough Council of this in hope they may be able to prevent this happening in the future by installing higher fencing.
